Karuna Cottage has wheelchair access provided (with assistance). Please refer to the diagram at the left showing height and width of fixtures and fittings. Most of the beaches have disabled access public toilets and picnic areas, and a few of the beaches are reasonably flat. The beach at Horseshoe Bay has a protected swimming area and a free beach wheelchair. Just inform the staff at the Horseshoe Bay store or book it through Magnetic Island Community Services on 07 4758 1506. On the whole, the shops are ground level and parking is available close by.
